We visited many places in Boston. For example: National Public Radio, Emerson College, WBUR and Boston Globe etc. What made me excited was that I stood on the spot where Barack Obama stood in Capitol Hill!. Also it was great to visit White House where everyone wants to come.
U.S. Department of State, iEarn, United Planet and Mongolian Education Alliance- Thank you for giving me this wonderful opportunity. Also United Planet staffs worked so hard to plan all these things and organize them. Thank you for all the things you did for us.

From the first day in Boston, I had an expectation to know more about American culture, daily life, democracy and freedom of speech etc and, I was excited. Now today, its already a time to go and I have only one day in America.I attended American schools’ classes, and I observed that students are respectful, friendly and open minded. They communicate each other freely. This is what I liked best so far.I think I am lucky to visit America which is the country of freedom and open the new door in front of me. When I come back to Mongolia I want to be more open and communicate with people freely. I know I can do it!

Waking up every morning to the sound of Saraa getting ready for her day was a refershing feeling, that she was excited to see and learn something new about the U.S. and about Boston. My mother would then make her breakfast, my sister would sing with her in the car, and I would keep her close as I’d take her to school with me every morning. To go to school without her will be weird for me, not wondering about where they are and if they’re having fun, if my mom will be picking everyone up that day. Saraa has truly become my little sister, loved by my entire family. We have renamed our guest bedroom “Saraa’s Room”. I don’t just have one little Mongolian sister, I have many. The students are so wonderful and loving, I just feel a strong bond to each one of them. I will never forget all my mongolian siblings.

I go to the school a newspaper club.I learned a lot of new thinks by participating the this program.Foe example personall skills ,basic journalism about first amandment and i improved my english.When i came in Boston we visited really interesting places.And i saw school newspapers ,daily newspapers ,local newspapers and newspapers for social institute.So i think freedom of press really powerful in the USA.When we come back Mongolia I will orginaze debate about first amendment and domecracy.

Hello, my name is Purevsuren. I like Boston. We visited Boston university, Boston Public schools, MIT, Boston Globe,Harvard university, Emerson college, WERS, Teen Voices, Christian Science Monitor, Mapparium, Museum, Aquarium,and White house. So, We meet Helen Smith and Mr. Scott Brown (Republucan). I like Christian Science Monitor. Because, I have been a lot of photos before. But never met a photographer. So, it was really enjoyable to meet a photographer and talk about how to take good photos.

My experience with my Mongolian friend, Bulga which i hosted was awesome! She always had a smile even when I woke her up at 5 am to go to school. She tried hispanic food, she bowled for the first time, she went trick-or-treating, she went to one of my family’s party and she played with my crazy siblings all night. One of my favorite games we played was Just Dance 2. Also the memory of bowling. My siblings are competitive, so if they didnt strike they would become angry, but Bulga would always cheer them up with her compliments on how well they played. Saying bye to Bulga was hard for my family. My mother and sister cried because they had a strong bond with her. i know my family and I will never forget her and this experience.

I visited a lot of wonderful places and met many amazing people. Among all these activities, the best part of this exchange program was staying with my host family. I was full of happiness when I am with them. They treated me so well that I will never forget. It was a great experience for me to get to know more about American daily life and American people. Finally, I want to say thank you to U.S. Department of State, iEarn, United Planet and Mongolian Education Alliance for organizing a program that is bringing me a change.

During my trip in America, I learned one very important thing. It is “We have freedom of speech but it is much more important to know how to use it.” When I face some problems, I used to refuse to tell it and didn’t know what to do because I was scared. But now I understand that I have a freedom to express my thoughts and power to deal with it. Thank you so much for giving me a wonderful opportunity to understand it and know the value of life.
